As a charity, we’re governed by our Trustees who are responsible for taking us forward in line with our vision and mission.

Dr David Rockey JP

David is a Dentist and currently works as a lecturer at the University of Bristol Dental School and is a Dental Advisor to NHS England. He is Chair of his local Parish Council and has lived in the Cotswolds for over 30 years. His passions include ancient buildings, antiques and fine art.

Chris Hancock

Chris is a retired solicitor who has lived in Northleach in the Cotswolds for the past 30 years. Since retiring he served as a Cotswold District Councillor and Cabinet member, with a special interest in local history and heritage. Chris currently sits on the board of a number of local charities.

Simon Randall CBE

Simon has been Chair of the Board since the Friends were created in 2013. A solicitor specialising in local government, charities and culture with particular experience in the museum sector. Simon has a huge passion for the work of the Friends of the Cotswolds and is keen to promote heritage, architecture and archaeology of the Cotswolds at all times.

Andrew Wade

A solicitor of many years specialising in commercial property, Andrew is also an experienced trustee for a wide range of third sector bodies. A Chartered Director of the Institute of Directors, Andrew has particular interest in corporate governance, strategy and risk.

Kate Farquhar-Thomson

Kate is Head of Publicity at Princeton University Press. Also a qualified Agricultural Scientist, Kate pursues her passion for the outdoors as a Cotswold Voluntary Warden, a member of Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire Wildlife Trust and a keen gardener and keeper of free range chickens.

Karen Morgan OBE DL D.Ed

Karen has experience across a range of industries. She is presently Vice Chair of the University of Gloucestershire, Chair of Aspire Gloucestershire, Chair of Trustees of The Converging World and Patron of the Riskin Mill Trust. Karen was awarded an OBE in 1999, appointed Deputy Lieutenant of Gloucestershire in 2007 and is a member of the Honourable Company of Gloucestershire.

Andrew Tabor

Andrew is currently Farm Manager and Partner in a predominantly arable farm in the North Cotswolds, having spent the previous 20 years in the Army. He is a serving magistrate, was High Sheriff of Gloucestershire in 2017/2018 and is active in a variety of charities within the County. He is on the Council of the Honourable Company of Gloucestershire.

Paul Blacker

Paul is an accountant by trade who lives in Cirencester with his wife and two daughters, having recently returned from a six year spell living and working in New Zealand. Currently Head of Finance at Gloucestershire County Council, Paul is an enthusiastic supporter of preserving the unique environment and heritage of the Cotswolds for future generations.

Louise Chandler-Mullins

Louise worked in marketing in the technology sector before moving to the Cotswolds 10 years ago and starting a family. Now as a mother of two young children, Louise balances this with working in marketing and fundraising for technology, education and third sector clients. Louise is a passionate netball player and also loves to get out into the beautiful Cotswold countryside on her bike.
