What We Do

Our mission is to protect and enhance the unique environment and heritage of the Cotswolds. No matter how we’re working, our mission stays the same and we are always striving to achieve this goal. How we deliver our work can vary considerably; sometimes we work alone, at other times with organisations and individuals. Each project is different, and the path to success will vary from project to project.

Ways we work

  • Deliver projects directly
  • Work with partners to deliver projects

Projects

Depending on the project, we may either work alone or with partner organisations or individuals to achieve our aim; whatever makes the most sense to make a project happen. The scope of our projects can be very wide ranging. Click here to find out more about our current projects.

Our Part in Supporting Local Food Access

At Friends of the Cotswolds, we are proud to play our part in making Northleach a stronger, more connected community. As the charity that owns the Old Prison, we’ve been transforming this historic site into a hub for local engagement. One of our recent projects is the creation of a community garden, where people can come together to grow, learn, and enjoy fresh produce.

We are thrilled to be part of the Gloucestershire Community Food Map, an initiative designed to help local residents find food support quickly and easily. The map is a fantastic resource, bringing together information from across the county so that anyone in need can access help without delay.

A huge thank you to everyone who has reviewed the map and shared feedback along the way. Your input has been invaluable in ensuring that the map is as accurate and useful as possible.

We hope you will help us spread the word about the Food Map in your own communities. Attached you will find a draft social media post and image that you are welcome to adapt and share on your channels. Don’t forget to tag Feeding Gloucestershire so they can like and share your posts.

Together, we can make sure that everyone in Gloucestershire knows where to find the support they need.
